You just got to your new shore house, and your car is unpacked. You're sitting on the deck with your housemates for the summer - some you've never met, a few you met at a shore house happy hour in the spring. Someone brings out tortilla chips and salsa. You open a Corona. The first happy hour of shore season has begun!

If you've never "done" a shore house, check it out - most houses have a specific age range -- some are home to 20-somethings, some are 30s and 40s who are newly-single (or always single!) or still looking (or always looking!), others are 50+ divorcees or confirmed bachelor(ette)s.

If you're like thousands in the region (many who are just looking to jump in on a house and do not have a friend to do it with) - you've probably joined a shore house for Summer 2009. If you haven't joined one yet, see below to find a house with openings, because spots are filling fast. And once summer hits, Friday means a mass exodus from the city to the beaches. Join the fun.

We are a group of 11 guys and girls (27-30) who are looking to fill out our shorehouse (on 22nd St. in Avalon) with a group of 1-4. Everyone in the group works in Philly/Wilmington/NYC during the week as professionals, but we will be partying all weekend. Our group is split b/t people who grew up in the Philly area and transplants, so if you're not from the area, no worries. Cost will be approximately 1900 for the entire summer. Our house is a 3-level, 3-bedroom 3 FULL bathroom townhouse in the Bayside Court complex off Dagsworthy Street. We're bayside, right across the street from the liquor store. The Cork is 1 block away, the Starboard is 2 and the Rudder about 4. This is the best location in town!!!!! There's ample street parking available and we know a few tricks to "reserve" spots if you're arriving late. Our current group has been together at 5 Bayside since 2000 and we go back 12 years under different management. We range in age from late 20s – 40s… We like to have a nice range as it helps with the house dynamic. There's no drama!! We're there to make new friends, get drunk and have fun. We have a large, 6br home with a few openings for this summer. Our house includes central A/C, deck with private backyard, gourmet kitchen, sunny breakfast nook and porch with bar. It's less than a block to the beach and quaint shops in town. Never heard of Bay Head? It’s less than 1 ½ hour drive from Philly with no shore traffic. Rt 195 east to Rt 35. Bay Head is located just south of Point Pleasant. It is a beautiful town with older, very large beach houses. The beaches are very private with no day trippers. We offer two options. 1/2 shares for 8 weekends, 1/4 shares for 4 weekends, both get you access anytime during the week. Come as often as you like. Our season goes from June 5 until Sept 20. September is the nicest time of year at the beach!
