It's Friday, May 25th, the start of Memorial Day Weekend 2012.

You just got to your new shore house, and your car is unpacked. You're sitting on the deck with your housemates for the summer - some you've never met, a few you met at a shore house happy hour in the spring. Someone brings out tortilla chips and salsa. You open a Corona. The first happy hour of shore season has begun!

If you've never "done" a shore house, check it out - most houses have a specific age range -- some are home to 20-somethings, some are 30s and 40s who are newly-single (or always single!) or still looking (or always looking!), others are 50+ divorcees or confirmed bachelor(ette)s.

If you're like thousands in the region (many who are just looking to jump in on a house and do not have a friend to do it with) - you've probably joined a shore house for Summer 2010. If you haven't joined one yet, see below to find a house with openings, because spots are filling fast. And once summer hits, Friday means a mass exodus from the city to the beaches. Join the fun.

We have a great 5 bedroom 4.5 bath house located in the center of town, walking distance to the beach, bars and restaurants. We are a group of 40 year old professionals and we have full and half shares available.

Avalon Shore Houses – Six Houses to Choose From

I'm running six shore houses which are on 21st, 24th, 27th, 28th, and 79th Streets. I'm sure I have a house and age group that meets your needs. I limit the number of people per house, so if you’re looking for a smaller number of roommates instead of the usual 15 to 20 associated with most shore houses, this is truly one-stop shopping. Definitely not flop houses or crazy party houses. For those who've had a bad shore house experience, don't give up on the idea of joining another house just yet. If your previous house didn't have any rules, was in a bad location, had too many roommates, was not clean, had too many weekend guests, had obnoxious roommates, too much drama, etc., etc., then I have a house for you. You won’t find someone sleeping in your bed when you get home from the bars.

Great House in the BEST Spot in Dewey!

Dewey Beach listing....... Escape your hectic weekday life and join us for our 13th year together in our 3-level, 4-bedroom 3 FULL bathroom (plus outside shower) townhouse on Clayton Street -- bayside. We range in age from early 30s -- 40s. . . We like to have a nice range as it helps with the house dynamic. There's no drama!! We're there to make new friends, drink cocktails and have fun. The house has WiFi access, three decks, maid service, kegerator. . ... etc, etc. Guests are welcome. Guest fees range from $40-$50 / night depending on the weekend. Guests should expect to sleep on the floor or a couch, but many times beds are open. Prices are as-follows: Full Share - $1550 - $100 of which goes towards the security deposit; Half share - $1050 - $100 of which goes towards the security deposit. Hopefully the house will look as good at the end of the summer as it does at the beginning. Assuming we get the entire security deposit back, you will get a refund at the end of the summer. A full share includes 18 weekends from the weekend before Memorial Day through the weekend after Labor Day. Full shares will be guaranteed a bed (not necessarily a specific bed or the same one each week). Please don't hesitate to write or call if you have any questions.

Full and half shares available. Join a group of professionals ages 35+ and spend your summer weekends in the vibrant city of Ventnor, NJ. This is a fantastic house filled with fun people who are neat and responsible and love to have a great time. Holiday weekends are included and the house runs from Memorial weekend to Labor Day weekend. You are assigned a bedroom with two beds - one for you and one for your roommate.
